An evening ritual in two objects. Light the Bushman Candle Scented Candle, then lather with the Bushman Candle Myrrh Protection Bar — both carrying the warmth of the Namib Desert, one of the oldest deserts on Earth.

Where water is scarce, Himba women have long cleansed themselves with the smoke of the burning bushman candle plant instead of water, and with wild myrrh, both sourced directly from the Himba community.

The Candle

Hand-poured in California with natural coconut-apricot wax. Opens with olibanum and pink peppercorn, moves through Bushman Candle Oil and Blue Ginger, and settles into vetiver, labdanum, and cedarwood.

Perfumer — Antoine Lie. Known for avant-garde compositions built from exclusive materials — he calls perfume a “sculpture on skin.” leverden makes an annual donation to the Cheetah Conservation Fund, sustaining our relationship with the Himba community.

The Bar Soap

A handmade soap-on-a-rope crafted with wild myrrh from the Namibian desert. Cured for a month, it cleanses gently with plant-based oils. Scented with citrus, opening into geranium and floral notes, and settling into cedarwood, patchouli, and musk.

Unlike mass-produced soap, we don't extract the natural glycerin created during saponification — it stays in the bar, helping it feel gentle on skin.

Set includes: one 250g candle and one 250g myrrh (omumbiri) soap-on-a-rope. Contains sweet almond (nut) oil.
